No-Bake Oreo Truffles

There are literally a million and one recipes for these so I just grabbed one that I found.  I can’t remember the first one I ever tried but they’re almost all the same.  This particular one came from Chef Savvy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (14.3 ounce) package Oreos (I like to use the peanut butter ones when I can find them)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (You can do 1/2 and 1/2 white and semi-sweet chocolate)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Directions:

  1. Add Oreo’s to a food processor and crumble, (If you do not have a food processor you can place them in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin or mallet.)
  2. Reserve ¼ cup cookie crumbs for topping the truffles (or find other fun toppings).
  3. Add the cream cheese into the food processor and pulse until well-mixed.
  4. Shape into about 30 balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Place in the refrigerator for an hour to set.
  6. Add chocolate to a microwave safe bowl along with the coconut oil. Microwave in 15 second intervals and stir often until the chocolate is fully melted.
  7. Take the balls out of the fridge and dip one at a time into the melted chocolate.
  8. Place back onto the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Sprinkle with cookie crumbs.
  10. Place back in the refrigerator for 1 hour to firm up.
  11. Once set serve and enjoy!
